I think they're happy because they sit at the dinner table and discuss their feelings and their day. There's also no signs of violence.
Hmm.. that's a tricky question, but I would say no. I wouldn't want to live in a place that is isolated and with no animals. I also think there is no electronics so far. I think their community doesn't have much enterntainment, people, civilization and animals.
